Welcome to Oakwood!

On behalf of the Pupils, Staff and Governors, I would like to welcome you to our vibrant school. We are all very proud of our school and enjoy working hard to do the best for our children within a caring and supportive environment.

Our core values are Kindness, Curiosity and Ambition and we all work together to promote and demonstrate these values through our behaviour and relationships, and in our learning. We have a dedicated and knowledgeable staff and governor team, actively engaged parents and friendly, motivated children who at the heart of everything we do.

Children's personal, social and emotional development is important to us, and we provide many opportunities to develop their mental health, wellbeing and resilience. We are open to new and innovative ideas and we are proud of our participation in the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) approach to lunchtime play.

We have high aspirations for our pupils and we aim to provide a broad and rich curriculum that sparks children's interest and curiosity and develops their passion for learning: in school, in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, and in the wider world.

More information about our curriculum, wellbeing support and OPAL programme can be found under our 'Curriculum' tab.

The staff and I value the strong partnership that exists between parents and the school.  We firmly believe that building strong connections between all members of the school community is the firmest foundation for a happy and successful school where all children can meet their potential.
