Safeguarding

At Oakwood, the health, safety and welfare of our children are of paramount importance. We are committed to ensuring that our children always feel safe and secure through a strong culture of safeguarding. This involves a range of policies, procedures and support arrangements. It is only when children feel safe and secure that they are ready to learn.

It is the responsibility of all staff to ensure your child is safe and his/her wellbeing is promoted.  In addition, our safeguarding team comprises:

Designated Safeguarding Lead – Ms Z Buckley, Headteacher

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead – Ms J Stubbs, FKS Leaders and SENCo

Safeguarding Governor – Mr J McDonnell

Chair of Governors – Mrs P Hopkins and Mrs J Elliott (Co-Chairs)

Our Child Protection Policy helps to explain our safeguarding procedures. You are most welcome to contact us to discuss this policy, to ask for a printed version of a policy or to ask about any of our other policies. There is no charge for providing complete copies of our policies or for any other information on the website.
