Safeguarding
At Oakwood, health, safety and welfare of our children are of paramount importance. We are committed to ensuring that our children always feel safe and secure through a strong culture of safeguarding. This involves a range of policies, procedures and support arrangements. It is only when children feel safe and secure that they are able to learn effectively.
It is the responsibility of all staff to ensure your child is safe and his/her well being is promoted. Our safeguarding team comprises:
Designated Safeguarding Lead – Mrs A Thompson, Deputy Head
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads - Ms J Stubbs, SENCo; Mrs J Jenkins, EYFS Lead
and Ms Z Buckley, Headteacher
Safeguarding Governor – Mr J McDonnell
Chair of Governors – Mrs J Elliott
