CAM Workshop

Here in year 5 we enjoyed working with engineers Peter and Helen to make moving toys. We made the jaws of the dinosaurs move by building a CAM mechanism which turns a rotary motion (round and round) into a linear (up and down) motion. This mechanism is used in lots of machines such as car engines. Later, we designed some CAM toys for Peter and Helen to use in their next workshop with another school.
